Foundations Italian 2 is part of the only language series to be written specifically for the institution-wide language programmes (IWLPs) in HE institutions where languages are taught to non-specialist undergraduates. The series is designed to fit the two semester year, with inbuilt supplementary material to cater for different numbers of contact hours and abilities. Written by experienced IWLP practitioners the series is carefully tailored to meet the needs and interests of HE students. This is a post-beginner's course, and follows on from the highly successful Foundations Italian 1. Two cassettes are available with a site licence included in the price. Tapescripts are available free on request.
Mara Benetti is a Visiting Lecturer at Imperial College and at Goldsmith's College, University of London. Mara has taught and researched in different parts of the world and she is now collaborating with the BBC as a language adviser for one of their courses. Caterina Varchetta is a Visiting Lecturer at London Metropolitan University, where she teaches Italian on the IWL Programme. She has a wealth of experience teaching Italian as a foreign language at further and tertiary level in the UK. Cristina Testi is a Lecturer at the Language Centre of University College London, where she teaches Italian.
