The International Yearbook of Nephrology is a supplement of the official journal of the European Dialysis and Transplant Association - European Renal Association. The principal aim of the Yearbook is the annual presentation of a comprehensive list of topics of the greatest current relevance to clinical nephrologists, focusing attention on the latest and most important scientific and clinical advances in nephrology. By following the subjects covered by the Yearbook in the broad field of nephrology, the practising nephrologist and the nephrologist in training can stay abreast of a number of rapidly advancing fields. The reviews are undoubtedly more current that those appearing in nephrology textbooks since they can be in the hands of the reader a few months after the authors have completed their manuscripts. The yearbook's principal aim is to provide clinical nephrologists with reviews that are right up to date. The authors, carefully selected from the USA and Europe by the International Editorial Board, are all experts in their field; each gives an objective review of a topic of primary current interest. This book is intended for clinical nephrologists.
