An easy-to-use resource, this text provides one of the few printed sources of the status of the human genome map. Concise, clear and authoritative, the GDB information is current up to 1st December 1993.
While the most current information on the human genome can be obtained via on-line GDB, the annual published reports on the status of the human gene map are a valuable resource for the extensive research community engaged in genetic and physical mapping of the human genome. The printed version of the 1993 data is available from early 1994. "Human Gene Mapping, 1993: A Compendium" supplants and updates the previous "Chromosome Coordinating Meeting 1992" and the "Human Gene Mapping" volumes (both formerly published by Karger). Reflecting the editing of the Genome Data Base to 1 December 1993, this book aims to include (as have the prior publications) the most recent reports of the chromosome mapping committees.
