Pedro García-Menocal is a writer and lawyer. He is the son of noted Cuban artist Pedro G. Menocal and the great-grandson of Mario García-Menocal, the third president of Cuba. Pedro is a member of the Community Advisory Board of the Cuban Research Institute at Florida International University. Gustavo “Garrincha” Rodriguez is a Cuban illustrator and comic artist residing in Miami, FL. He published his first cartoon, a comic strip, in 1986 in Cuba. Nineteen years later he left Cuba for the United States. Rodriguez describes his art and illustrations as peaceful translations. “An illustrator is a traffic cop.”
