Stewart Hastie was a graduate of the University of Glasgow and worked as a veterinary surgeon for 74 years. He was intimately associated with many aspects of the equine world, most notably hunting, eventing and racing. He was Veterinary Advisor to the Society of Master Saddlers and received the British Equestrian Trade Association’s Lifetime Achievement Award in 2013. He sadly passed in February of 2018. The British Horse Society education system is one of the best and most widely-respected in the world. Part 4 Veterinary aspects of horse management: first aid and wound management; nursing the sick horse; fittening; nutrition; care of the older horse.
