Joseph L. Cavinato, Ph.D., C.P.M., in january 2000 joined the National Assocation of Purchasing Management as a Distinguished Professor and Senior Vice President. Prior to joining NAPM, he was an Associate Professor of Business Logistics at The Pennsylvania State University and a frequent consultant to organizations worldwide. Dr. Cavinato is co-editor of Supply Chain Logistics Dictionary, and co-author of Supply Chain enterprise Benchmarks as well as numerous other books. Ralph G. Kauffman, Ph.D., C.P.M., is Assistant Professor of Management and coordinator of the Purchasing and Supply Management Program at the University of Houston - Downtown. He spent more than a quarter-century in industry in procurement and supply management. Dr. Kauffman is the chair of the NAPM's NonManufacturing NAPM Report on Business and the prior chair of the Manufacturing NAPM Report on Business.
