Jowel C. Laguerre, Ph.D. is Superintendent and President of the Solano Community College District. He has taught French, Haitian Creole, and ESL for more than thirty years. He has a Ph.D. in Educational Leadership, a M.S.Ed. in School Administration, and a M.A. in French Literature from the University of Kansas. Dr. Laguerre is a native of Haiti. Cécile Accilien, Ph.D. is Assistant Professor of French and Francophone Literatures at Columbus State University. She has taught French and Haitian Creole at Portland State University and Tulane University. She has a Ph.D. in French with a concentration in francophone studies from Tulane University. Dr. Accilien is a native of Haiti.
