He is a senior investigator of the Thrombolysis in Myocardial Infarction (TIMI) Study Group, and for more than 20 years has been the principal investigator for 10 international clinical trials in the area of heart attacks and prevention. Elizabeth Vierck is a noted health writer who has been a consultant and writer for many national health organizations. She has authored 17 books.
