Diane Knott can't remember a time when she didn't want to be an artist. Her earlier years, spent in the home of her grandparents, inspired most of her kitchen and garden images. Today, she and husband, George, live in the beautiful Pennsylvania mountains in a small cottage overlooking lush hills and valleys, farms and woods. These views, her home and garden, and her growing years are constant sources of inspirational material for her ever-growing portfolio. Today, as a full-time watercolorist, she has her images produced on a variety of licensed products that continue to grow in number. Diane licenses her art exclusively through the energetic and highly successful team of Linda McDonald, Inc. Diane also has several successful fabric collections with Clothworks/Fabric Sales Company, Inc., and more are in the works. Holly Knott (Diane's daughter) is a Finger Lakes, New York, artist who could never call just one medium her own. After leaving behind her seventeen-year career as an interactive systems designer and usability testing specialist in New Jersey, she now works full time in a wide variety of media including art quilting, photography, painting, and website and graphic design. Inspiration for her work comes from her surroundings, including her love of architecture old and new, rural landscapes, and nature in all forms. She feels that being involved in various art forms can only enhance an artist's work because they're all interconnected. Her painterly art quilts of landscape, nature, and architectural scenes are exhibited in juried quilt and art shows nationwide, have won awards, and are sold in local shops and arts centers. Her artwork has appeared in several publications, including Quilting Arts Magazine and in a 2007 calendar of or works by women artists. She has also been a contributing writer to Quilting Arts Magazine. Holly lives with her husband, Paul Bokinz, and their two cats on a small "farmette" in the scenic Finger Lakes region of New York.
