The 52 creative infusions are crafted with seasonal ingredients and use widely available still, sparkling, and fortified wines, bring you a delicious array of seasonal sips.
Here you’ll find the classics everyone knows and loves—an Aperol Spritz, the French-inspired Kir, or a New Orleans–Style French 75—as well as favorites from Spain, Italy, and Portugal and even original creations. The recipes also include fresh takes on favorite spirit-based cocktails, such as a Red Wine Margarita, a Spanish Negroni made with sherry instead of gin, or a White Wine Mojito. Wine-Down Wednesdays is your go-to for a midweek libation, every week of the year.
Jennifer Newens is a cookbook editor, cooking teacher, and literary agent from Oakland, California. She received her culinary training from the prestigious Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, New York. She believes that everyone deserves to have a special drink in a fancy glass with a pretty garnish at the end of a long day – whether or not they choose to put booze in it! Alyson Brown is a beverage photographer and drink stylist with an appreciation for a well-built cocktail. Her passion for cocktails led her to author her first book, The Flower-Infused Cocktail: Flowers with a Twist. It was while photographing for her book that she found her true love for beverage photography and styling. When she’s not behind the camera, she can be found enjoying beautiful Bend, Oregon, with her husband and two sons.
