Dr Ross Piper is a zoologist, author and presenter/on-screen expert. Fascinated by animals for as long as he can remember, he has a first class degree in zoology at Bangor University and a PhD in insect ecology at the University of Leeds. Piper is currently a visiting fellow at the University of Essex and a Fellow of the Royal Entomological Society. He is the author of Animal Earth (T&H) and has presented documentaries for Sky and the BBC.
