A beautifully packaged guide to understanding and enjoying agave spirits, poised to take advantage of tequila's hugely burgeoning popularity
Whether you're a fan of the margarita or Paloma, or prefer to drink the spirit reposado or añejo over ice, tequila is fast becoming the hottest, most interesting spirit on the market today. And yet, tequila is just the beginning of the story when it comes to the fascinating family of agave spirits - you may have heard of mezcal, but have you sampled a bacanora or a raicilla?
Mexico-based photojournalist Anna Bruce explains not just what 'agave' actually means, and the differences between each spirit in the category, but how they're actually made. Her expert tips will explain how to look for agaves to fit your flavour profile, don't break the bank and count as a sustainable choice.

Her agave photography has been exhibited at venues such as the V&A, LSE and the Mexican Embassy in London. Currently she is based in Oaxaca with her husband and six rescue dogs. Together they lead mezcal experiences with Rambling Spirits.
