Endurance Spirit is a coffee table book about the 2024 season of the FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC), which is one of the most exciting competitions in motorsport. This book is based on the very rich production of images that will be developed and embellished over the eight races that are held around the globe on internationally renowned circuits, including the legendaryl 24 Hours of Le Mans. The main goal is to capture the “spirit” that characterises these endurance races. This beautiful publication will be a perfect promotional tool for the championship, whose considerable drawing power is due to the number of competitors and manufacturers who are taking part.
Alain Pernot is an independent journalist and motorsport expert who knows how to share his exhaustive knowledge with all the passion that drives him to collect it. He is the author of several books about Formula 1 and Le Mans. Andrew Cotton is an Endurance racing specialist. He’s a contributor to several well-known motorsport magazines in the world. He’s also a Writer and an editor of many books, including yearbooks for Porsche and for the Nurburgring 24 hours.
In order to provide a unique immersion in the atmosphere of this motor sport, the book is structured around the five following sequences:
WARM UP
The spirit of Endurance racing is evoked in a direct and strictly visual way, thanks to a series of photos revealing the specific features of this type of race: driver changes during the event, night driving, technical diversity, mechanical intervention during the event, etc.
UNIQUE
Essay highlighting the exceptional nature of the 2024 line-up and presenting the 14 competing manufacturers (9 in Hypercar, 9 in LMGT3, some in both categories).
