Be it a rental or that long-awaited first home purchase, decorating can be exciting, but also daunting. Interior design expert Emma Blomfield of Sydney-based residential and commercial design studio, EB Studio, breaks down the rules in a fun and informative way. Whether it's how to pick the right size rug for your living room or how to curate a gallery wall, which indoor plants add the most oomph or how high to hang your curtains, Emma covers all the essential elements of style.
With tips for every major room in the house and insider secrets to help maximise your space and make it look stylish, no matter your budget, this book is essential for anyone wanting to make their new house a home.
Emma Blomfield has worked in the interiors industry as a stylist, homewares buyer and interior designer. In 2011, Emma started her own business, EB Studio, a residential and commercial design studio in Sydney, Australia. EB Studio works on a wide range of projects from boutique commercial fit out to inner-city bachelor pads to large-scale family home renovations and full turnkey interior decorating fit outs for expats returning home to Australia. Emma is regularly asked to speak at trade fairs and consumer events as well as hosting her own decorating workshops across the country. These workshops show homeowners how to decorate their homes and apply the principles of decorating used day to day in the studio to their own homes. Emma is also the author of Home (2017) and Keeping House (2019) with Hardie Grant.
