Colleen Coghlan came from a good Irish Catholic family who ate the standard meat and three veg meals (except on Fridays). A primary school teacher and waitress during the 70s, she began working with Sbs in the early 80s. Since then she has had a range of roles at Sbs, has married a caterer with a penchant for exotic foods, and has two daughters. Journalist, linguist and keen eater, Joanna Savill joined Sbs Tv in 1981 after several years working and studying in Italy, France, Germany and Belgium. Her career has since taken her from subtitling movies, dramas and soaps to reporting for Sbs News and Current Affairs. As a current affairs reporter and producer with Sbs and other networks both here and overseas, Maeve O'MEARA has spent most of the last eight years travelling the world covering stories and searching for the perfect couscous, chilli crab, char kway teow and cappuccino.
