No matter who you are, what age you are, or what you do, physical fitness is important. Physical activity is necessary for optimum health, and should be a part of each and every stage of your life. It can make all the difference to your overall quality of life.
When you are physically fit, you can improve your health each and every day. Exercising regularly helps keep your muscles and bones strong, and your heart healthy. It can decrease your chances for getting diseases and health problems such as heart disease, diabetes, and even cancer.
Staying physically fit is especially important as you get older. Aging is a normal part of life; however, it does affect the body and how much you are able to move. Continuously staying active throughout your life can help you as you get older because you are always working your muscles. This means that you will be able to move around and stay active, no matter your age.
You can also increase your life expectancy if exercise on a regular basis. Health problems can decrease your chances of living a long healthy life, but being active helps you avoid those health problems, which in turn can help you live a long, fulfilling life!
Physical fitness can also improve your mood. It can alleviate depression, and other mental health disorders, and can be the key to getting you out of bed when you just haven’t felt like doing much of anything. Something as small as a walk can make a huge difference in how you feel each day.

Staying Motivated
When the days are long and your stress is high, it can be hard to find the motivation to keep moving and get everything accomplished.
It is important to avoid doing too much at once, as this can actually make you too overwhelmed to be able to work on any aspects of your life.
When it comes to your health and business, here are some small, simple changes you can make on a daily basis, to help you feel motivated again:
• Add something healthy to your meal plan each day – whether it be breakfast, lunch, or dinner. Pick a meal and find a way to make it a little healthier.
• Drink an extra glass of water each day until you are at the recommended amounts per day for drinking water.
• Take a walk on the trails – it gives you a chance to enjoy nature while giving yourself some exercise. You can feel at peace while staying motivated.
• Make a list of short-term and long-term goals for you to slowly work through – do not overwhelm yourself as that will deter you from continuing. Take it slow and watch the goals fly off the list.
Being motivated can be tricky, especially when you avoid things that should not be avoided, such as food. You should never avoid eating just because you are not where you want to be health-wise. If you are not happy with how you look, find healthier options for eating instead of starving yourself. Not eating food can actually trick your body, and it will hold onto body fat, which does not help you lose any weight at all.
You have the power to make changes in your life. Food, and all the other aspects of your life, do not have the control; you do. Instead of letting these other aspects take over, find a way to take control back, and see how quickly you can gain back your motivation.
If you are still feeling a lack of motivation, find people who believe in you, and love you. Whether it is your spouse, your children, or your friends; find people who make you feel good, and help you to believe that you can do whatever you set your mind to. They can help you to stay on track and reach your goals, and they can hold you accountable when you do not follow through. Sometimes you just need a little push to help you keep moving, and your loved ones can provide that push.
If you are taking a little longer than planned to get motivated and be successful with your goals, do not be hard on yourself. Instead, learn to forgive yourself. A lot of the time, we focus on what we did wrong, not what we did right. Find the positives in what you are doing instead of the negatives.
If you did not do as much as you should have, focus on the parts you did follow through on. Motivation can take time, and it is important to forgive yourself if you do not get there as fast as you would like. No matter what, keep working toward staying motivated, as you never know what might come your way with a new sense of positivity!

Your body image is how you personally view yourself, and how you see yourself when looking in a mirror. It is the innermost thoughts that you think, and the emotions that you feel, as you are trying on something or looking at certain parts of your body. Having a positive body image is important for many reasons.
If you are happy with your body image, you will feel comfortable going out and showing off who you are, but if you do not have a positive body image you will want to hide more than shine.
When looking to improve your body image, you should start by looking at your body and thinking about all it does for you. Take time to appreciate your body, and understand it is something amazing that should be cherished. Your body helps you accomplish all the tasks you have to do each and every day, and that in itself is something to be positive about.
Your thoughts about your body image can also be improved by looking at yourself and thinking of all the things you like about yourself. A lot of the time, we lose sight of all the things we love about ourselves. We forget about what used to make us happy about our bodies, and instead we start to focus on the things we do not like.
Instead of focusing on the things you do not like about your body, focus on the parts that you are happy with. It doesn’t even have to be a body part. It can be anything about yourself that you love and are happy with. Even if you can only come up with a few things, as you become more confident with yourself, you will be able to add more to the list. A positive body image can take time, but each step forward is a step in the right direction.
Just like you are avoiding writing down things that do not make you feel good about yourself or your body, you need to avoid telling yourself things that do not make you feel as good as you should. If it is a negative thought, avoid it. There is no reason to bring yourself down. Have you ever heard of the saying, “If you have nothing nice to say, don’t say anything at all”? Well, it goes the same for yourself personally. If you cannot say anything positive about yourself, avoid saying anything. Negative thoughts never do anyone any good.

Whether it is going shopping, painting your nails, or taking a bubble bath, doing something just for you can get you back to feeling and believing that you are important, and that you need to take care of yourself too. A lot of the time, life gets in the way and we forget to take a moment to do something just for ourselves. It can really make a big difference.
If all else fails, you need to remember that beauty is not just skin deep; it goes so much further than that. Beauty is what you believe, and how you feel. It is not about looking at every inch of your body. It is about accepting yourself for who you are, and loving the fact that you are uniquely you. If you are having one of those days where you just can’t seem to find happiness, surround yourself with people who make you feel good. Find family and friends who love you, and make you feel happy about who you are.
