This book is all about creating comforting, homely food that is big on taste but easy on the waist – and on the wallet!
Gina and Karol Daly met 13 years ago when they worked together at the O₂ (now the 3Arena) in Dublin. Theirs was a whirlwind romance: they were engaged within 2 weeks of their first date and married 6 months later. They live in Co. Meath with their 3 children. When Gina began documenting her weight-loss journey on Instagram (@thedalydish) a few years ago, she amassed thousands of followers who were devoted to her slimming but indulgent looking and tasting recipes. Karol joined her, setting up an Instagram account @mister.dish (and losing weight too!). Together they have amassed a following of over 250,000 fans. Their first cookbook, The Daly Dish (2020), was a runway success, debuting at No. 1 in the bestseller charts. Their second cookbook, The Daly Dish Rides Again (2021), was nominated for an An Post Irish Cookbook of the Year Award. Together they have sold over 70,000 copies.
