History of Muscle Testing
Muscle testing is all about getting into your subconscious mind to get some answers. You can use muscle testing to get to the truth, and really have some understanding of what is going on within your body. Not only can you use it on yourself, you can also do testing with somebody else.
Our subconscious mind records everything that has happened in our lives. It will create memories in our bodies, which is why we may have issues going back to childhood. Embedded in our system, this may lead to limiting beliefs, stories we tell ourselves which then create certain behaviors. You can use your muscles to ask your subconscious to find anything. Hence, the expression the issues are in the tissues.
Muscle testing can be seen in energy medicine practices, and it is sometimes referred to as kinesiology. Qi Gong, which is an ancient Chinese practice, is said to be the origin of both energy medicine and Tai Chi. When we look at more of these ancient Oriental practices, we will find Tai Chi, Qi Gong, Reiki, Tantra, Tapping (EFT), etc.
Using this form of testing will assist you to obtain congruency within yourself. Since each person is different, there is no way to have a one-size-fits-all solution. This means that muscle testing is not going to yield the same results for all. The test fits perfectly to you and your body, which means you never know what the test will bring up. Something you thought could have been a small part in your life, or may have had a big impact on your body. Your body will give you those answers, as the body does not lie.
Having Fun with Food (Contrary to Mother Saying Don’t Play With Your Food)
I am sure, at one point in your childhood, your parents told you to stop playing with your food, and as a parent, you have probably told your child/children the same. Despite what you were told, I would like you to step away from that belief, and start having some fun with your food instead.
It is easy to categorize foods into those that you consider healthy and those you consider unhealthy. Striving to shed weight is about finding a healthy balance, and finding ways to enjoy your food without depriving yourself and/or feeling hungry.
Let’s look into the word diet. The word itself includes the word die, so that should really send out a message. It is not about depriving yourself of foods, but instead finding the foods that make your body feel the best. You want to wake up feeling energetic, vibrant and glowing, and it is important that you find foods that make you feel that way.
Instead of following the trend of dieting, go on the hunt for foods that make you feel like you are ready to run a marathon instead of foods that make you want to take a nap. Even looking at the visual aspects of food can really help you get on a better path healthwise.
Foods come in every color of the rainbow, so rather than sticking with the same old meal plan that you have done for years, try something new and let your senses be awakened! Look for foods with different textures, or different flavors. This can greatly help your cravings for foods that may not be the best for you. Spend the time to have fun with your food, and the process of making it, and you’ll never look back.
Using All Your Senses (Making Love to Your Food)
Have you ever made a meal and just wanted to dive in and eat it as quickly as possible because it just looks so darn good? Well, you are definitely not alone on that one. Especially when you are looking to shed weight, a meal can feel like the best part of your day. However, what if I told you that using all your senses can be a great way to both enjoy your food, and also help you shed weight in the process? Taking that extra time to appreciate what you are eating can make all the difference!
It is time you start enjoying your meals in every way you possibly can. Spend time prepping the food, seeing and hearing it sizzle in the pan, and smell all the different foods as they cook; this is the way to really love the food you are making, and take the time to appreciate it. If you come across some food that your body doesn’t want, smell it to satisfy those smelling buds without actually eating it, with zero calories added.
If you are rushing to make a meal, and do not take the time to use all your senses (see, hear, smell, touch and taste) in the process of cooking, then it is just another meal, and you will eat it as quickly as any other meal. Instead, slow down the cooking process and enjoy each and every step, so that when you are finally sitting down to enjoy tasting the meal, you appreciate it that much more, which in turn, gets you to eat it slower. If you learn to love your food, your body will love you back.
What Water Can Tell You
A Japanese research scientist named Masaru Emoto started working with water, and did several experiments in the early 90s on how it can react with positive and/or negative affirmations. When water freezes, it becomes crystallized. He noticed that water that was exposed to positive words or thoughts ended up forming the most beautiful looking crystals. The same result occurred with positive music playing.
However, when water was exposed to the opposite, or negative words/reactions, that same water would end up looking fragmented and mucky. Masaru Emoto came to the conclusion that water reacts quite differently when exposed to varying emotions. If someone is happy, water will freeze and provide stunning looking crystals, but when someone is upset, the water will freeze to show that negative type of emotion, and mucky looking crystals will form.
Considering the fact that our bodies are made up of mostly water, it can be quite clear that having both positive and negative emotions can make a huge difference on how our bodies operate. If water can have such substantial reactions to emotions, our bodies, and the water in our bodies, can most likely do the same, hence the importance of thinking and feeling positively and saying kind words to and about yourself.
Importance of Self-Care
Self-care is one of those things that everyone has heard about, but not every person understands what it really entails, and why it is so important for human beings to take part in it. Self-care means doing anything for yourself that has a positive impact on yourself, or your body. It is a gift to yourself, and is a good way of being kind to yourself, which is something we don’t think about on a regular basis.
Caring for yourself gives you a chance to truly get to know yourself, and become your beautifully authentic you! Spending time taking care of your body is a great way to learn new things about yourself because, as much as you think you already know, there is always more you can discover. Taking that time to remind yourself how important you are is vital for your health, because you are acknowledging yourself and the hard work you do, and the effort you make on a daily basis.
Self-care can even help change your outlook on life. When you take time to do things you enjoy, or partake in things that feel good for your mind, body, and soul, you are moving from just existing, to fully living your life. It is so easy to get up and follow the same steps every day, but it really makes a difference if you step out of that comfort zone, learn to truly enjoy your life, and develop the ability to see the positive in anything.
It also has a huge influence on how you are able to take care of others in your life. Self-care is similar to having to put on your own oxygen mask first before putting one on anyone else. To truly help someone else, you need to help yourself first, and to care for others, you need to see the importance of loving yourself.
Self-Image
Self-image is just as important as self-care. How you see yourself, and how you want others to see you, can have an effect on your mental health, and your life in general. The familiar expression, ‘How others see me is none of my business’, is quite true in regard to developing authenticity. Self-image is all about attitude, positive thinking, being a beacon of light, and being in high vibration, while maintaining a certain humility about it (in other words without being arrogant about it).
It is important to have a positive self-image because it can have a drastic impact on how you interact with people around you. If you have a poor self-image, then you are more likely to have a negative view on life, which can directly affect your friendships and relationships. If you think positively about yourself, others will see that too, and it will make a huge difference in your life.
Having a positive self-image can also help improve your confidence, which can work wonders in many aspects of your life. When it comes to your professional life, having a good self-image can boost your confidence enough for you to want to strive for more, and reach your goals in a more efficient way. In your personal life, positive self-image can give you the confidence to make decisions you might normally have avoided.
Self-image can work wonders because you are taking the time to care for yourself and your needs. It can truly help you become your best you, and improve your self-esteem. Self-image is all about how you view yourself, and if you are viewing yourself in a positive way, you are working on bettering your self-esteem, which is a reflection of how you choose to value yourself.
Self-image is that light at the end of the tunnel when you feel like things are just not going your way. Self-image can give you the...
