A full-colour comprehensive guide to all Austin cars built from 1948 until the end of production in the 1990s, with an informative history, detailed model-by-model comparisons, and technical information.
Austin cars continued in production long after the other marques that formed BMC were discontinued, with only the MG name applied to some Rover models continuing beyond 2000.

Illustrated in full colour, and with detailed information including colour schemes, optional equipment and technical specifications, this is a complete catalogue of the cars from 1948 onwards, including the Austin models built by the Rover Group during the 1990s. This is the ultimate book for those interested in the Austin marque, which is so often covered only briefly in other publications.

David Rowe spent some of his evenings during the 1960s at an Austin dealership before taking on a full time role as an accounts clerk and then accountant at a Ford dealership and subsequently spending many years working in the accounts departments of three other motor dealerships. Athough he has never owned an Austin, he has driven around fifty of them ranging from an A30 to a Montego. He has helped to build and race cars, holds voluntary positions as treasurer for two car clubs and enjoys Driving Experience days. David has written three other books, including two more in this series: Rootes Cars of the 1950s, 1960s & 1970s, and Wolseley Cars 1948 to 1975.
