A Heartbeat Away

The probability of death is 100% and people need to be ready for that inevitability. The how and when is not a choice for most people and the consequences of the actions they take before that happens are already determined, yet the subject of death (particularly one’s own mortality) is avoided by almost everyone. A Heartbeat Away reveals the importance of being ready and provides the facts of actions’ consequences through true, personal stories, professional experiences and additional resources, even from centuries ago. Addressing three specific areas, Spiritual, Relationships, and Finances, Arsen Marsoobian (or “Papa SOOB”) offers suggestions and a blueprint for readers to ask themselves important, life-changing questions. A Heartbeat Away moves readers to stop and reflect on their lives and the people they love in order to prevent regrets when the day comes that they don’t make it back to their comfy bed and leave this world behind.
Arsen S. Marsoobian, currently 82 years young, a time when most people are looking for a rocking chair, cruise ship or retirement facility, launched his third career just 7 years ago. After having endured 2 major heart surgeries within 70 days of each other in 1999 and becoming divorced, his family persuaded him to return to Fresno and retire to a quiet life on the golf course. That lifestyle lasted 5 years until, at the age of 79, Arsen had impressed upon him by international motivational speaker and mentor Les Brown that he still had much to contribute in life, and Arsen has now shared the stage through speaking appearances with such notables as Les Brown, Lynn Rose, Jeff Eben, Bill Walsh, Gary Cox, and Dr. Robert Watts. Arsen Marsoobian raised his family of three children in Fresno, CA and although he associates with Christians from many denominations, he maintains his membership at the Holy Trinity Armenian Apostolic Church in Fresno, where he served as Chairman of the Board of Trusties.
