The agony aunt Irma Kurtz arrived in London from New Jersey in the late 1950s. Dismayed by the city's drabness, she quickly moved on - but returned in 1963, and stayed. Part memoir, part autobiography, this book offers insights into a love affair with London and a portrait of the Age of Aquarius.

Part memoir, part autobiography, this book offers insights into a love affair with London and a portrait of the Age of Aquarius. Kurtz's account of her early career takes in the Central Office of Information, Raymond's Revue Bar, and life at England's first girlie magazine, "King", before the post with "Nova" magazine which set her on the course which led to her prominence as an agony aunt.
