The uplifting autobiography of Britain's newest sporting hero and Masters champion, Danny Willett
Danny Willett was the last entrant, No.89, to this year's Masters as his wife was due to give birth that weekend. She gave birth to Zachary twelve days early, so Danny confirmed his place. Jordan Spieth was the defending champion, World No. 1, and led the tournament for the first sixty-five holes. Then Jordan took seven shots at the Par 3 twelfth and Danny Willett found himself leading the Masters with three holes to play. So he went to the nearest portaloo for a sit-down, and told himself to stay calm as he was now just three good drives away from glory. Danny's green jacket not only crowned Britain's newest sporting hero, but cemented a story which gives hope to all sports fans. He started playing golf at the age of 11, and his vicar father agreed to let him bunk of school on Thursdays once he realised his son was pretty good at the game. Danny is one of four brothers and it was the tweets from one of them, PJ, which added to the online drama of the final round. '3 putt this and you might as well stay in America', and the one that led to the autobiography's title, 'Green makes you look fat, refuse the jacket'.
This is the inspirational, funny and at times unbelievable story of how Danny Willett became the first European to win the Masters in seventeen years, on the due date of his first child and the birthday of his wife.

Danny Willett shot to global attention with his incredible Masters victory at Augusta in 2016. He was born in Sheffield in 1987 and is the former world amateur No.1. Danny played Walker Cup in 2007, the same year he won the English Amateur title before turning pro in 1998. Danny had enjoyed steady progress up the world rankings with three European Tour wins over the previous 18 months but it was his first major win, captured in real style with a final round of 67 just days after wife Nicole gave birth to son Zachariah, that has catapulted his career and popularity to new heights. It also moved Danny into the top 10 of the Official World Golf Rankings for the first time in his career.
