Over the past 20 years Dennis "Red" Gendron has coached hockey at nearly every level--with consistently great results. As a high school coach he was twice named Coach of the Year for high school hockey in Vermont and led his team to four state championships; as an assistant coach at the University of Maine, he steered his players to an NCAA championship; and as an assistant coach with the New Jersey Devils, he helped guide the team all the way to a 1995 Stanley Cup. He has also coached the Albany River Rats, a minor professional team, and the US National Junior Team, a national select team that competes internationally. He is presently a professional scout for the Devils. Through the years, Gendron has attended countless hockey symposiums as both participant and presenter at venues all over North America and in Europe. In addition to his coaching experiences, he is known as one of the finest hockey clinicians in the world. He has spent most of the last 20 summers working with players from the earliest stages of their development to those who compete at the most accomplished levels. He previously served as USA Hockey's New England Director of Coaching Education, and he has been very active as a Huron Hockey School Instructor. Gendron has a master's degree in education administration from the University of Maine at Orono. He lives in Clifton Park, New York, with his wife Janet. In his free time he enjoys playing golf, coaching softball, and reading. K. Vern Stenlund is a leading hockey instructor who played professionally and has coached at all levels. He is also a consultant to the Huron Hockey School and has assisted in establishing satellite clinics in the United States and Canada.
