Gerard Walen is a Tampa native who currently lives in Crystal River, Florida, where he homebrews and edits the online travel magazine Road Trips for Beer and the website BeerInFlorida.com. He formerly wrote and edited for the Tampa Tribune and the Sarasota Herald-Tribune and is now a contributing writer for Beer Advocate and All About Beer.
