He writes for many magazines and newspapers in the UK and internationally, including The Times, The Guardian and House & Garden. His many books include Mid-Century Modern Design, The Iconic American House, The Iconic House and New Nordic Houses, all published by Thames & Hudson. He lives in Norfolk with his wife and children. John Hitchcox established the design firm Yoo in 1999 and is its CEO.
