In fact, the experts have stated that as from January 2013, any household where one person earns more than Pds. 60,000 will lose all entitlement to child benefit. Besides, those earning between Pds. 50,000 and Pds. 60,000 will lose some of it. However, the people with two earners just below the threshold and who potentially earn Pds. 98,000 will remain unaffected. The tax institute had envisaged that many people would choose to continue to receive child benefit, even if there was only a slight chance that they might otherwise lose out. This would also mean that more people will have to pay the tax and complete self assessment returns...
