Each short chapter will describe a famous insect hatch important to fly-fisherman. What makes this hatch a special angling experience? What fly patterns has it inspired? What is the story behind how some of the most famous flies came to be conceived? Each chapter will also feature color photos that graphically capture the spirit of the hatch—landscapes, insects, and/or flies. The following famed hatches are likely to be included in the book. Tricorythodes (Trico) Each chapter will include an essay (1,200 to 1,500 words) describing, through interviews and research, the experience of fishing the hatch, the lifecycle of the bug in question, a description of a few of the rivers where hatches occur, and some of the famous flies that have been inspire by the hatch. There will also be at least one large landscape photo of each river, smaller photos of the insects and the flies it inspired, and a brief bio and photo of the principal interview for the chapter.
