Joyce J. Fitzpatrick, PhD, MBA, RN, FAAN, is editor of Nursing Education Perspectives, the flagship journal for the National League for Nursing, and the Elizabeth Brooks Ford Professor of Nursing, Frances Payne Bolton School of Nursing, Case Western Reserve University, Cleveland, Ohio. She served as Dean at Case Western from 1982 through 1997. She has received numerous honors and awards including the American Journal of Nursing Book of the Year Award 18 times. Dr. Fitzpatrick is widely published in nursing and health care literature. She is a former senior editor for the Annual Review of Nursing Research and a well-published Springer author and editor. || Emerson E. Ea, DNP, APRN-BC, CEN, is Clinical Assistant Professor of Nursing, NYU. He has publishing in peer-reviewed journals and has presented nationally and internationally at major nursing conferences. Dr. Ea recieved his DNP at Case Western Reserve University and, has worked with Dr. Fitzpatrick as a mentee and now as a colleague.
