In the end, Kennedy's assassination changed his destiny and he had to find another dream to chase.

Ed Dwight was America's first black astronaut trainee, an IBM systems engineer, a real estate developer, and a restaurateur. In 1977, he earned a Masters Degree in Fine Arts from the University of Denver where he also taught sculpture. He now focuses singularly on art endeavors and is well known for bronzes that depict African American history.
