In 2005, Nicholas Clapton became a Doctor of Liberal Arts summa cum laude at the Liszt Ferenc Zenemuveszeti Egyetem (Music Academy), where he is now a Visiting Professor. He was recently appointed to Hungary's Government Accreditation Panel for music colleges. He is also engaged in a lifetime's struggle with the complexities of the Hungarian language, which will occupy him till his dying day,
