Combining the popularity of Mediterranean food with the allure of the Greek islands.
Greek food is one of the most loved and recognised cuisines around the world. Packed with the tastes and memories of sunshine and holidays, it produces big flavours using only the freshest ingredients. It's plentiful yet healthy, with the added delight of conjuring up images of the most magical places in the world - the Greek islands! Eating these dishes at home will instantly transport you to a beach-side taverna enjoying lunch al fresco under an ancient olive tree.

In her new book, Greek chef and food historian Carolina Doriti showcases Mediterranean food with a unique focus on the Greek islands. Alongside stunning photography, her recipes - fluffy pancakes drizzled with honey and sprinkled with walnuts; melon, feta and mint salad; classic roast lamb; artichoke bake; langoustines with courgettes; and many more - will inspire you to recreate some Greek holiday magic in your own kitchen.

Carolina Doriti was born in thens and studied in the UK. Her mother was a food writer and author and Carolina grew up fascinated with ingredients, developing her own recipes from a young age. In 2013, she started designing and leading gastronomical tours around Greece for one of the world's leading food tour companies. Carolina writes about food with a special focus on the history of Greek gastronomy, the ingredients, regional cuisines, and lost recipes. She is the Culinary Producer of My Greek Table, a TV series on Greek gastronomy broadcast on PBS across the US and Canada and on Amazon Prime. She has appeared on various cooking and other food-related shows in Greece and abroad and writes on the subject for many international publications. Salt of the Earth: secrets and stories from a Greek kitchen was her first cookbook.
