As a current affairs reporter and producer with SBS and other networks both here and overseas, Meave O'Meara has spent most of the last eight years travelling the world covering stories and searching for the perfect couscous, chilli crab, char kway teow, and cappuccino. Journalist, linguist and keen eater, Joanna Savill joined SBS TV in 1981 after several years working and studying in Italy, France, Germany and Belgium. Her career has since taken her from subtitling movies, dramas and soaps to reporting for SBS News and Current Affairs. Together, they are the authors of the 1996 guide and the forthcoming book The Melting Pot (working title), as well as overseeing editors for The SBS Eating Guide to Melbourne. They are also comperes of the SBS show Foodlovers Guide To Australia.
