He did it before and now he's done it again! Joss Lynam, the doyen of irish mountain walkers, has produced a sequel to his bestselling Easy Walks Near Dublin. This is very much the mixture as before, a selection of another 35 walks in the Greater Dublin region that can be enjoyed by all the family.
The routes include terrain as varied as Malahide estuary, the Grand Canal at Robertstown, Glenmalure, the Broad Lough at Wicklow and Trooperstown Hill near Laragh.
Most walks are circular; many can be accessed by public transport; most are no more than an hour and a half to two hours long. Few are in anyway demanding: most are walking routes for leisure strollers. Joss Lynam himself is in his eightieth year, so he now has to confine himself to walks such as these.

Joss Lynam is a legend among Irish hill walkers. He has climbed all over the world, including in the Himalayas, and has been associated with the provision of public access for leisure walkers for many years. He was a founder member of the Irish Mountaineering Club and has edited the Irish Mountain Log. He was general editor of the original Gill Walk Guide series which continues its life today as Best Irish Walks.
