Accompanied by characters - such as the renowned elephant biologist Joyce Poole, and Danny and Bongo Woodley, sons of legendary Tsavo warden, Bill Woodley - Ridgeway encounters the descendants of the Waliangulu, "the People of the Long Bow", a tribe thought to have vanished from the area, as well as lions, rhinos and elephants.
