The sections are organized alaphabetically by artist from Pierre Gaboriau to William Kurelek. Entries are arranged chronologically by work and each includes: a concise biography; accession number; title in English and French; inscriptions; provenance; former titles and attributions; and references to related works. Reproductions of the works accompany the entries. The book also features a numerical index by accession number.
