Most visitors to New Zealand have little more than two or three weeks in which to discover the diversity of scenery and other attractions to be found in the North and South Islands. This book endeavours to make the most of a short visit by dividing the country up into 12 regions, each of which is further divided into a number of day trips or tours designed to offer the best possible combination of sights and experiences. Each region is prefaced with a map and an illustrated introduction, presented as a double-page spread. Subsequent tours have specific maps and colour photographs illustrating some of the features of each particular tour.
