Autor

The editor Gordon Wilson, joined Durham Constabulary in 1966. He transferred to Derbyshire Constabulary traffic department on promotion to inspector in 1978. While in that post he wrote the first edition of The Traffic Officer's Companion. This was shortly followed by The Beat Officer's Companion. In 1984 he was promoted to superintendent on transfer to Warwickshire Constabulary. He is now retired from the service and works full-time editing, updating and improving the content of both books.
