As with previous editions, this fourth edition features the full text of every piece of adopted European legislation affecting companies and the financial sector, including directives, regulations, recommendations and other relevant instruments. It is divided into sections on banking law, capital movement, company law, consumer protection, enterprise law, insurance law, and securities regulation. The purpose of this text is to offer an easily accessible, properly organised and updated collection of all European Instruments that have been enacted in the above fields. Both in legal practice and in academia the need often arises to consult European legislation with the knowledge that it is up-to-date and consolidated. The book includes section-by-section case commentaries on almost all of the relevant European Court of Justice cases and many rulings from national courts, thus providing a useful guide to interpretation of the various instruments.
