The book features an introductory commentary followed by a comprehensive collection of the key intellectual property treaties concluded at international and regional level, including all such treaties of relevance to the US and Europe. The full text of each treaty is reproduced in English and supplemented by editorial notes explaining the significance of each instrument, its drafting history, principle provisions, and listings of the relevant member states and when they joined.
Alfredo Ilardi graduated with a degree in Law from the University of Rome in 1966. He joined WIPO as an international civil servant having previously worked as an in-house IP lawyers for a major pharmaceutical firm. Michael Blakeney is Herchel Smith Professor and Director of the Intellectual Property Research Institute at Queen Mary and Westfield College, London.
