'A Practical Approach To Planning Law' provides an authoritative guide to this complex and fast-moving subject. This new edition considers many of the more important cases that have been decided over the past two years, in particular the key cases brought under the Human Rights Act.
Despite repeated attempts in recent years to simplify the planning system, planning law has continued to be so complex that practitioners and students alike have found it difficult to disentangle the complicated issues and principles involved. A Practical Approach to Planning Law is a clearly-written and accessible book which aims to remove the mystery the planning law has for many people. This new edition considers many of the more important cases that have been decided over the past two years, in particular the key cases brought under the Human Rights Act, including: * The Alconbury Decisions * R (Kathrow) v Rhondda Cynon Taff County Borough Council * R (On the application of Vetterlein) v Hampshire County Council and Hampshire Waste Services Ltd * Lafarge Redland Aggregates Ltd * South Bucks District Council v Porter * R (Adlard and Others) v Secretary of State for the Environment, Transport and the Regions
