Updates and combines "Road Traffic Statutes" and "Road Traffic Offences", this book examines principle offences in the Road Traffic Act 1988, those created by the Road Traffic Act 1991 and the Aggravated Vehicle Taking Act 1992, and the implications of the Criminal Justice Act 1991 on sentencing.

Deliberately excluding a large number of road traffic offences which are rarely prosecuted, it is designed for ease of use and practicality. Checklists are included, along with charts providing quick access to materials on such matters as disqualification, comparative breath and blood analysis on a time basis, and penalties. All the principal road traffic offences in the Road Traffic Act 1988 are examined in addition to those created by both the Road Traffic Act 1992 and the Aggravated Vehicle Taking Act 1992. The implications of the Criminal Justice Act 1992 on sentencing for road traffic offences, rehabilitation courses for drink drivers and re-testing procedures following periods of disqualification are considered. The book is based on the author's earlier works, "Road Traffic Offences" and "Road Traffic Statutes". These two volumes have been fully updated and combined into one volume to provide a portable guide for practitioners in road traffic law.
