This study examines the diverse and often contentious issues surrounding the rights of children. Topics discussed include gay/lesbian adoptions, recommendations for an improved Children's Court, and the implications of the constitutionalization of children's rights in South Africa.
Because of South Africa's recent adoption of a Constitution and a Bill of Rights, the place of children in the legal system has been significantly altered. This text is a critical selection of articles that stringently and intelligently discuss issues surrounding the changing role of children's rights.
