Emily Crawford is a lecturer and Director of the Sydney Centre for International Law (SCIL). She teaches international law and international humanitarian law, and has delivered lectures both locally and overseas on international humanitarian law issues, including the training of military personnel. Alison Pert lectures at the University of Sydney in international law, specialising in the use of force and international humanitarian law. She is a qualified barrister and has practised as a lawyer in government and the private sector in London, Papua New Guinea and Australia. She has represented Australia at international organisations including Unidroit and UNCITRAL, and in treaty negotiations.
