He has written extensively on children and the law, and children's rights and is co-editor of Youth in Society (1997), Children in Society (2001) and Social Work and the Law in Scotland (2003).     DEBBIE STRINGER is a solicitor (non-practicing) and senior lecturer in law in the Faculty of Health and Social Care at the Open University, UK. Her research interests include the relationship between the law and the family.
