Prof. Yong-Gang Li, a senior researcher at Statewide California Earthquake Center of University of Southern California, honorary professor at Chinese Academy of Geological Sciences, and overseas consultant at China Earthquake Scientific Experimental Site. He has been the Principal Investigator of awarded projects for earthquake research. He was the pioneer in discovery and computer modeling of fault-zone trapped waves in 1980s, and applied them for characterization of fault damage zones at seismogenic depths to insight earthquake physics and hazards. He is guest editor-in-chief of Geophysics Series of Higher Education Press and Springer Nature, editorial board member of Geoinformatics & Geostatistics. He published 4 important papers as the first author in Science and Nature, and more than 100 peer-reviewed monographs; edited 6 series books, including Earthquake and Disaster Risk: Decade Retrospective of Wenchuan Earthquake and China Seismic Experimental Site: Theoretical Framework and Ongoing Practice,which won the Excellent Book Award of the China Publishing Association. He participated in scientific investigation of Wenchuan and Lushan earthquakes in China. Prof. Yongxian Zhang, head of the Division of Short-term Earthquake Forecasting, Institute of Earthquake Forecasting, China Earthquake Administration; Deputy chair of the APEC Cooperation for Earthquake Science; Committee managing member of China Seismological Society. Her study interests are models of seismogenic process, seismicity pattern, mechanics of earthquake anomaly, synthetic method of earthquake prediction, etc. She has published more than 100 papers. She has been a practitioner of earthquake forecasting in China for about 33 years since 1991 in China. She has been participating in the scientific investigation work of many earthquakes such as 2020 Yutian M6.4 earthquake, 2021 Luxian M6.0 earthquake, 2021 Maduo M7.4 earthquake, 2022 Lushan M6.1 earthquake, 2023 Jishishan M6.1 earthquake, and 2024 Wushi M7.1 earthquake. She also served as one of the editors of China Seismic Experimental Site: Theoretical Framework and Ongoing Practice, and guest editor of PAGEOPH topical volumes such as Continental Earthquakes: Physics, Simulation, and Data Science; Earthquakes and Multi-hazards around the Pacific Rim, etc. Prof. Zhongliang Wu, Researcher at the Institute of Earthquake Forecasting, China Earthquake Administration; Fellow of the International Union of Geodesy and Geophysics (IUGG). Mainly engaged in seismological monitoring and earthquake forecast. He has served as member of the National Expert Committee for the Wenchuan Earthquake in 2008; also served as coordinator and PI of the Scientific Investigation of the MS7.0 Lushan earthquake in Sichuan Province, China, organized by China Earthquake Administration, and coordinated the publication of Earthquake Phenomenology from the Field: The April 20, 2013, Lushan Earthquake (Springer 2014). Currently works as Vice Chief Designer of the China Seismic Experimental Site national major infrastructure of science and technology, and participated in the editing of China Seismic Experimental Site: Theoretical Framework and Ongoing Practice (HEP with Springer 2023). He had been working as editor of Earth, Planets and Space, Natural Hazards, and Volcanology and Seismology, in English, and journals in Chinese including Chinese Journal of Geophysics, Physics, and Journal of Engineering Studies. Prof. Ying Li, a researcher and deputy director of the Institute of Earthquake Forecasting, China Earthquake Administration. His study interests are geochemical precursors of earthquake fluids in the active fault zones, phase transitions and Chemical processes during the metamorphism of subducted materials in subduction zone, etc. He has published about 120 papers. He is also working as executive commissioner of the Chinese Society for Mineralogy, Petrology and Geochemistry, commissioner of the Seismological Society of China. He has been responsible for International Geoscience Programme(IGCP-724) “Fluid Geochemistry and Earthquake Forecasting” and 4 projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China, etc. He served as the deputy commander in Chief of large earthquake scientific expeditions in China and has directed the scientific investigation of 2021 Luxian M6.0 earthquake, 2021 Maduo M7.4 earthquake, and 2024 Wushi M7.1 earthquake, etc. Prof. Xiaodong Zhang, a researcher of the Institute of Earthquake Forecasting, China Earthquake Administration. He served as Vice Chairman, Standing Director of China Earthquake Society and Director of Earthquake Forecast Committee. He is serving as Standing Director of China Disaster Prevention Association, Supervisor of China Earthquake Society, Director of Earthquake Artificial Intelligence Committee of China Earthquake Society, and member of Science and Technology Committee of China Earthquake Administration. He mainly engaged in geophysical, seismic prediction research work. He is currently engaged in the application of artificial intelligence technology in earthquake monitoring and prediction. He served as the commander in chief of large earthquakes on-site scientific expeditions in China, such as the 2021 Maduo M7.4 earthquake and 2022 Luding M6.8 earthquake. He joined the on-site scientific expedition of the 1995 Kobe M7.4 earthquake in Osaka, Japan. As a member of the China International Rescue team, he participated in the field rescues and earthquake investigations of the 2003 M6.9 Algerian earthquake, the Indonesia 2004 M9.0 earthquake and the 2025 Pakistan M7.8 earthquake.
