The purpose of this meeting was to cover selected topics of high current interest in the interplay between cosmology and fundamental physics. It brought together physicists, astrophysicists and astronomers and allowed easy and fruitful mutual contacts and communication among them. Topics covered this year include: phase transitions in cosmology and evolution out of the equilibrium of quantum fields, fundamental strings and cosmic strings in cosmology, dark matter and large scale structure, black holes and quantum gravity.
Large-scale structure without n-body simulations, P. Coles; classical and quantum string dynamics in curved spacetimes, H.J. de Vega; large-scale structure as a probe of the early universe, J. Frieman; metric perturbations in string cosmology, M. Gasperini; the oscillons (subcritical bubbles) and their possible role during phase transitions, M. Gleiser; inflationary universe dynamics and non-equilibrium quantum field theory, R. Holman; dynamics of group and clusters of galaxies and links to cosmology, G. Mamon; electroweak phase transition and numerical simulations in the SU(2) Higgs model, I. Montvay; nature of dark matter and some new methods in observational cosmology, I. Novikov; new concepts about galaxy evolution as constraints on large-scale structures, D. Pfenniger; the prodution of monopoles and vortices at phase transitions, R. Rivers; new advances in string theory in curved spacetimes, N. Sanchez; CMB to probe cosmological models - obervations of the CMB, G. Smoot; recent results on microlensing experiments, M. Spiro; self similar solutions of self interacting scalar fields in an expanding geometry, D. Vautherin; string cosmology - basic ideas and general results, G. Veneziano; massive compact objects in the galactic halo, A. Vidal-Madjar; the electroweak phase transition in QFT, C. Wetterich.
