Medicinal, aromatic and spicy plants have always been present throughout the evolution of the human species. The history of the use of medicinal plants shows us that, in the course of this evolution, plants were the first therapeutic resources used because of man's own needs. Resorting to the healing virtues of certain plants is one of the first manifestations of this, marking an ancient and deep desire to understand and use nature as a therapeutic resource, and the first writings on plants with medicinal principles report their importance in magic and medicine ceremonies. They were used by various peoples, such as the Chaldeans, Babylonians and especially in Ancient Egypt, where recipes were made for the use of medicinal plants to cure the population's ailments.
