This book focuses on holistic approaches to sustainability in all sectors of environment, energy, building, and infrastructure to achieve the best-balanced global environmental, energy, building, infrastructure, transportation, and water technologies (EBITWs).  It presents a series of solutions based on innovative research and applications for building a sustainable Earth for future generations. Simply, the goal of this book is to define the context of instigation to think through the scientific theories and practical technical applications of sustainability for building a better planet.  Naturally this book explains a series of mechanisms to develop a sustainable world by implementing mainly practicing the following areas of Sustainable Energy, Sustainable Housing and Building Technology, Sustainable Water, Infrastructure, and Transportation Technology, Sustainable Environment which are, very much interconnected to secure a global environmental equilibrium.

Md. Faruque Hossain has more than 20 years of industry experience in the field of sustainability research, development, and project management under global top public agencies and fortune-listed companies. He worked and/or consulted in diverse global top tier companies to conduct research and development for million dollars to over billion dollars projects for ensuring global sustainability. Faruque also worked for the NYC Department of Citywide Administrative Services as Senior Management team and interacted with the heads of all public agencies, highest level government officials of local, state, federal, and international organization leaders for developing global sustainability policy. During his tenure in NYC Department of Environmental Protection as Acting Director, Faruque managed a world-class team of scientists, consultants, architects, engineers, and contractors from AECOM, Fluor, Skanska, and maintained highest level professional relationship to conduct global sustainability research and practice. Hossain received his Ph.D. from Hokkaido University, did post-graduate research in Chemical Engineering at the University of Sydney, and Executive Education in Architecture at Harvard University. He is an LEED-certified professional and editors of several International Journal of Global Sustainability-related field. Dr. Hossain is renowned as the industry leader and notable scientist to conduct innovative research and project development for energy, environment, building, infrastructure sustainability field for building a better Earth. He has hundreds of world-class publications in very high impact journals, and he wrote five books (published by Springer, Elsevier) and eighty two (82) book chapters (published by Springer, Elsevier, and Francis & Taylor) in the field of global sustainability. Currently, he is working at the school of architecture and construction management at Kennesaw State University as an Assistant Professor and simultaneously running his own company "Green Globe Technology" with his motto to practice sustainability for building a better planet.
