Photocatalytic materials explored include metal-oxide and metal-chalcogenide based materials, graphene, graphite carbon nitride (g-C3N4) as a metal-free semiconductor, carbon/semiconductor nanocomposites, inorganic/organic nanocomposites, and noble metals to increase the efficiency of photocatalytic properties. This variety of semiconductor materials ensures it will be essential reading for researchers and students in the field of photocatalysis.
Dr. Ramin Yousefi, a Professor of Solid State Physics at Islamic Azad University, Masjed-Soleiman, Iran, earned his Ph.D. in Solid State Physics from UM University of Malaysia in 2011. He specializes in the optical properties of semiconducting nanostructures such as metal-oxide, metal-chalcogenide, graphene, and g-C3N4. He established a pioneering research lab focusing on the synthesis and application of nanostructures in photocatalysts, gas sensors, and solar cells. As the leader of the nanostructures research group, Dr. Yousefi has published dozens of influential articles and book chapters with reputable publishers. He is a frequent speaker at international conferences and maintains a robust relationship with industry, securing numerous research grants. Prof. Yousefi’s groundbreaking research aims to elucidate the relationship between the optical properties of semiconductor nanostructures and their diverse applications, driving innovation in multiple high-impact fields.
