In a world captivated by the pursuit of longevity, 'Anti-Aging Polypharmacology' emerges as a beacon of innovative exploration. Dr Zhiguo Wang delves into this groundbreaking sub-discipline of pharmacology, offering a comprehensive guide to not just extending lifespan, but also promoting vibrant health and vitality throughout the aging process. Aging, once viewed as an inevitable decline, is reframed as a target for therapeutic intervention. Dr Wang unveils the multifaceted nature of aging, influenced by both genetic and environmental factors, and introduces the concept of treating aging as a 'disease' to be managed pharmacologically. Through a multi-targeted approach, he reveals how strategically designed interventions can synergistically target age-related processes, offering new avenues for combating the ravages of time. This monograph guides readers through the complex landscape of polypharmacology; Whether you're a scientist, a student, a pharmaceutical staff member, or a healthcare professional dedicated to promoting healthy aging, it is an indispensable resource.

Zhiguo Wang earned his PhD in cardiovascular pharmacology from the Department of Pharmacology and Therapeutics at the Faculty of Medicine & Health Sciences, McGill University, Canada. Currently, he holds the positions of Chief Scientist and Professor at the Central Research Laboratories of the First Affiliated Hospital of Jinan University, China, and serves as the President and Chief Scientist of Cachine Pharmaceutical Inc., China. With a prolific academic career, he has authored 156 research articles in esteemed scientific journals, contributed to 7 monographs, and written 18 book chapters. Additionally, he has served as an editor for 1 book published by reputable scientific publishers. His research interests span various domains including cardiovascular disease and pharmacology, molecular pharmacology, epigenetic polypharmacology, longevity, and anti-aging polypharmacology. Notably, Wang is recognized as one of the pioneers in advancing the 'one drug—multiple targets' principle of polypharmacology, a concept elucidated in his earlier research articles and his monograph 'Polypharmacology: Principles and Methodologies'. Furthermore, he introduced the groundbreaking concept of Anti-aging Polypharmacology and advocates for a low-entropy lifestyle to foster healthy aging and longevity.
